UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State looks for its third-consecutive Big Ten win and second in a row vs. Indiana when it welcomes the Hoosiers to the Bryce Jordan Center for a 7 p.m. Wednesday tipoff on Big Ten Network.
STORYLINES
- The Nittany Lions are coming off a 14-point comeback win over No. 24 Minnesota, 52-50, Saturday. It was the seventh win over a Top 25 team for head coach Patrick Chambers and the first this season.
- At 3-2, Penn State is off to its best Big Ten start under Chambers and overall since 2010-11.
- Mike Watkins earned his second Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor Monday after producing his PSU freshman record fourth double-double (15 pts, 15 rbds) in the win over the Gophers.
- The Nittany Lions are in a stretch of three out of four games vs. Top 25-ranked teams. Following the win over No. 24 Minnesota and the matchup with Indiana, they travel to No. 21 Purdue and No. 17 Wisconsin.
- Five players are averaging in double figures for Penn State this season, led by junior captain Shep Garner (12.4 ppg) and freshman Lamar Stevens (12.2). Three freshmen are among the top five scorers and are each of top three rebounders. Stevens is the team's leading scorer in Big Ten action with 11.6 ppg.

SETTING THE SCENE
- Penn State is looking for back-to-back wins over the Hoosiers for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
- With a win, the Nittany Lions would be 4-2 in Big Ten play for the first time since the 1995-96 season.
- Winners in each of its last two games, Penn State looks for its third three-game league win streak under Patrick Chambers.
SCOUTING INDIANA
- The Hoosiers enter Wednesday night with a 12-6 overall record and 2-3 mark in the Big Ten with home wins against Illinois and Rutgers. They have losses to Nebraska, Wisconsin and Maryland.
- Indiana started the league slate with four out of five games at home and is 0-2 in true road games this season, falling to Fort Waye in non-conference play and at Maryland.
- Indiana is fifth in the nation in rebound margin (+10.9), eighth in rebounding (41.4), 14th in field goal percentage (49.8) and 17th in scoring (84.6).
- In league play, Indiana leads the Big Ten in scoring (79.8), field goal percentage (48.5), 3-point field goal percentage (44.3), offensive rebound % (40.9), and 3-point field goals made per game (9.8).
- James Blackmon Jr. leads four scorers in double-figures with 17.5 points per game on the season (17.0 ppg in Big Ten play). He is averaging 21.0 ppg over Indiana's last three games.
- Against Rutgers, Blackmon Jr. led the Hoosiers with 16 points.
- Indiana trailed the Scarlet Knights 15-6 in the first half before going on a 27-6 run and eventually outscoring Rutgers, 70-42 the rest of the way.

- Indiana leads the all-time series 35-11 and 14-6 in University Park.
- Eight of Penn State's wins have come in the last 16 meetings, including two in the last three games.
- Each of the last four games have been decided by five or fewer points.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE HOOSIERS
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (Feb. 6, 2016) - Brandon Taylor scored 11 of his 24 points with less than 10 minutes left and Penn State shocked No. 22 Indiana with a 68-63 win in the Bryce Jordan Center. Devin Foster added 13 points and Shep Garner chipped in 12 for the Nittany Lions (12-12, 3-8 Big Ten). Nick Zeisloft led Indiana (19-5, 9-2) with 14 points while Yogi Ferrell added 13.
Taylor sparked his team on a 21-15 run with a midrange shot with 9:34 left and hit his second of four 3-pointers on Penn State's next possession. He followed with another 3 moments later that gave Penn State a 55-50 lead. The Hoosiers pulled it even at 58 on a pair of Zeisloft free throws, but the Nittany Lions took the lead for good on a Julian Moore layup that put his team up 64-61 with 1:13 remaining.
MEMORABLE MATCHUPS
Feb. 12, 2014 (PSU, 66-65): Tim Frazier scored on a driving layup with 6.1 seconds to go capping off a 13-1 in the final 3:19. Frazier finished with 14 points as the Nittany Lions defeated Indiana for the first time since March 2011.
March 12, 2009 (PSU, 66-51): Jamelle Cormley put up 22 points as Penn State downed the Hoosiers in the first round of the Big Ten tournament. The 2008-09 Lions went on to win the NIT Championship.
Jan. 27, 1996 (IU, 85-70): Pete Lisicky tallied seven 3-pointers in the loss at Assembly Hall. The seven treys are tied for the most by a PSU player in Big Ten action.
