UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; February 24, 2017ââ'¬" The Penn State women's tennis team dropped to 3-5 on the season after falling 4-0 to Marshall on Friday night.
"We need to execute better in a few pressure situations," said head coach Chris Cagle. "We played hard and had our chances, but Marshall played a little bit better than us. We will be ready to take on Columbia tomorrow."
Penn State was unable to collect the extra doubles point, dropping two out of the three doubles matches. Katia Blik (Moscow Russia) and Devan McCluskey (Phoenix, Ariz.) won their doubles match defeating Turhan/ Pomyatinskaya of Marshall 6-3. Three of the singles matches were unfinished.
The Nittany Lions take on Columbia tomorrow, Feb. 25. at 1:00p.m.
