April 13, 2017 - UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; The Penn State men's tennis team will host three home matches this weekend to close out their home slate. The matches will be played outdoors at the Sarni Tennis Center on Friday, April 14 and Sunday, April 16.
Friday, April 14 will feature a Big Ten conference match against No. 28 ranked Wisconsin at 4:00 p.m. The Badgers come to Happy Valley with an impressive 14-4 record, 5-2 in the Big Ten.
Sunday, April 16 will be the sixth and final double-header the Nittany Lions will host this season. At 12:00 p.m., the Lions will face No. 31 ranked Minnesota for a second conference matchup. The Golden Gophers are 15-6 on the season, and 4-2 in the conference. The Gophers boast No. 74 ranked singles player Matic Spec. At 4:00 p.m., Monmouth N.J. will take the courts against Penn State. The Hawks are posting a 6-10 record on the season.
Along with Sunday's matches, Penn State will also honor its five graduating seniors on Senior Day with acknowledgements and festivities, including a barbecue that will be open to fans. These May graduates are: Marc Collado (Barcelona, Spain), Nika Dolidze (Tbilisi, Georgia), David Kohan (Sydney, Australia), Aws Laaribi (Rye, N.Y.), and Christian Lutschaunig (Richboro, Pa.).
