The Penn State men's golf team is looking to make it back-to-back tournament titles with a trip to Jonesborough, Tenn., to compete in the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate from Friday-Sunday, Oct. 13-15. The tournament, in its 20th year, is hosted by East Tennessee State University at the Blackthorn Club.

The 54-hole event will feature 18 holes of play each day with pairings beginning at 8:30 a.m. ET each day. The Blackthorn Club at The Ridge plays 7,147 yards and is a par-72. This is Penn State's sixth consecutive year playing in this event. Live scoring will be available online.

"Fred Warren (ETSU head coach) established this event a couple decades ago, with its fabulous community support, has turned into one of the best collegiate events annually," said Penn State head coach Greg Nye. "We look forward to the opportunity to compete with this field this week and enjoy the support given to this event."

That field consists of host institution East Tennessee State, Missouri (5), Tennessee (11), Kent State (17), Coastal Carolina, Furman, Kansas State, UNC Wilmington, VCU, Villanova, Virginia Tech, and Virginia. Penn State is the lone Big Ten Conference representative in the field.

The Nittany Lions will field the same lineup that produced a share of the Windon Memorial Classic title, which includes junior Charles Huntzinger (Duluth, Ga.) who claimed the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate's individual title a season ago. Senior Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.), juniors JD Hughes (Carlisle, Pa.) and Ryan Dornes (Lancaster, Pa.), and sophomore Ryan Davis (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) round out the team lineup for Penn State.

Last season, Huntzinger tied the all-time three-round low score for the tournament shooting a 13-under 203. Huntzinger is coming off his first individual top-five finish of the season.

Dornes is coming off his career-low, shooting a 2-under 68 in the third round of the Windon Memorial Classic and Miller has eclipsed the 100 career rounds plateau when he made his final putt in round two.

In addition, freshman Daniel Martinez (Austin, Texas) will be making his collegiate debut and competing as an individual for Penn State.
