UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Once again fans will be able to follow the 2017-18 Penn State men's ice hockey team throughout the season with the Penn State Hockey Story. Set for seven episodes this year's edition begins much earlier as conference play began in just the second week of the season.
Throughout the first semester of play there will be one episode per month in October, November and December and as the calendar rolls over into 2018 there will be two episodes each in January and February.

THE 2017-18 PENN STATE HOCKEY STORY
Join the Nittany Lions during their sixth season of NCAA Division I hockey with the award-winning Penn State Hockey Story. Go behind the scenes with the Nittany Lions during what should be an exciting campaign coming off the most successful season in program history in 2016-17.
EPISODE 1
In the first episode of the Penn State Hockey Story for the 2017-18 season fans get a glimpse into preseason workouts, some lucky season ticket holders get a special delivery and the first three weekends of the season are highlighted. A win at Mariucci Arena against Minnesota is looked at as well as the unveiling of a pair of banners from the rafters at Pegula to commemorate the 2017 Big Ten Tournament Championship and the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
EPISODE 2
In the second episode of the Penn State Hockey Story for the 2017-18 season fans get to meet the freshman and learn more about the captains. We also revist a thrilling come-from-behind overtime victory against Michigan as well as a record-setting performance from junior Andrew Sturtz. The episode concludes with a weekend sweep at Arizona State and the second career shutout for junior goaltender Chris Funkey.
EPISODE 3
In the third episode of the Penn State Hockey Story for the 2017-18 season fans get a glimpse into the Penn State eight-game unbeaten streak as they head into winter break after strong games against Ohio State and Robert Morris. Captain James Robinson is featured and sophomore goaltender Peyton Jones sets the Penn State all-time record for wins.
EPISODE 4
In the fourth episode of the Penn State Hockey Story for the 2017-18 season fans get a glimpse into the Penn State 11-game unbeaten streak that continued coming out of winter break with crucial Big Ten Conference victories over Wisconsin and Ohio State. Relive sophomore Nate Sucese's performance against Wisconsin as he became the sixth player in program history to register a hat-trick and take a trip to class with sophomores Peyton Jones and Liam Folkes!
EPISODE 5
In the fifth episode of the Penn State Hockey Story for the 2017-18 season fans get to travel with the team on the road to Michigan and Wisconsin as well as learn about the behind the scenes technology that helped the Nittany Lions win three games in three days to capture the 2017 Big Ten Tournament Championship as strength coach Cam Davidson explains the heart rate monitors and his methods of recovery!
EPISODE 6
In the sixth episode of the Penn State Hockey Story for the 2017-18 season fans get the chance to travel with sophomore forward Denis Smiornov to Moscow, Russia for holiday break before reliving our series against No. 1 Notre Dame!
EPISODE 7
In the seventh episode of the Penn State Hockey Story for the 2017-18 season fans get the chance to relive the 2017 NHL Entry Draft where the Nittany Lions had a record three players drafted. We then talk NHL Summer Development camps and even travel to Penguins camp to check in on Andrew Sturtz, Chase Berger and Nikita Pavlychev. The show concludes with our first-ever weekend sweep against Minnesota on senior weekend!
EPISODE 8
In the eighth episode of the 2017-18 Penn State Hockey Story, the Nittany Lions sweep the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals, but drop a 3-2 decision the following weekend in South Bend against the top-seeded Fighting Irish in the semifinals. Also, take a behind the scenes tour and see all the people responsible for making game days great in Hockey Valley!
