UNIVERSITY PARK, PA.-The Penn State women's tennis team is headed into its final tournament weekend of the fall season. Coach Cagle's squad will be splitting between the Kitty Harrison Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. and the Hokie Invitational in Blacksburg, Va.
Both tournaments will be held from Friday through Sunday, Nov. 3-5.
Six players will be traveling to the Kitty Harrison Invitational hosted at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. Taylor Shukow (Boca Raton, Fla.), Samantha Smith (Cary, N.C.), Ines Milosevic (Burlington, Ontario), Gabby O'Gorman (Gunnedah, N.S. Wales, Australia), Frederikke Svarre (Copenhagen, Denmark) and Hanna Wikberg (Stockholm, Sweden) round out the roster headed to Chapel Hill.
Four players are headed to the Burrow-Burleson Tennis Center to compete in the Hokie Invitational. Those players include, Bennett Dunn (Orlando, Fla.), Liyin Xu (Chengdu, China), Hannah Kratky (Greenwich, Conn.) and Shannon Hanley (Kensington, Md.).
"The fall tournament season has gone by really fast," said head coach Chris Cagle. "We have improved in many areas and I expect to see us continue that trend as we finish our fall competition schedule. Both tournaments will provide us with quality competition and I expect to see us finish the fall strongly and with a continued sense of urgency."
These tournaments mark the end of the fall season for the Nittany Lions. The team will continue to practice as it gears up for a competitive spring season.
