UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State swimming & diving will wind down its regular season Friday evening, honoring the Class of 2018 prior to its meet against Villanova at 5 p.m. in McCoy Natatorium.
The teams will compete in a 16-event dual meet. Admission is free. Parking will be available in the East Parking Deck for $1 per hour. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as it will be a busy weekend on campus. Click here for more information.

Promotions
The meet will feature the Third Annual Great Penn State Duck Toss. The second intermission will feature the third annual Great Penn State Duck Toss, in which fans will have the opportunity to throw rubber ducks into the pool at hula hoop targets with prizes awarded based on which hoop they reach.
Students that attend will receive free pizza on a first come-first served basis.
Congrats Seniors!
Men's seniors Ryan O'Neill and Connor Scanlon, and women's seniors Tommie Dillione, Hannah Harper, Emily Harris, McKayla Mawn and Niki Price will be honored approximately 20 minutes before the meet. Learn more about their post-graduation plans on GoPSUsports.com.
The Series
Both Penn State programs hold winning records over Villanova. The men hold a 28-13 advantage in a series that dates back to 1938, and the women are 23-1 over the Wildcats since 1980. The men have challenged the Wildcats in each of the last five seasons, while the women have done so since the 2007-08 season. Last season, the men defeated the Wildcats 186-78, and the women won 177-86.
The Matchup
Both the Penn State women and men carry 1-7 dual meet records, but both have taken on a tough schedules, with the women ranking No. 40 nationally in dual meet strength according to CollegeSwimming.com. The Villanova women are 12-1, while the men are 3-8.
Scholar All-Americans
The Penn State men's and women's swimming and diving teams earned recognition as College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams for the Fall 2017 semester, the organization announced Monday. To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the spring semester. The Nittany Lion women combined for a 3.39 team grade point average for their 13th consecutive semester above a 3.0, while the men earned a 3.11 team GPA, surpassing 3.0 for a third-consecutive semester and for the sixth time in the last seven semesters.
Next Up
Select members will compete in a "First Chance Meet" at Ohio State, Saturday and Sunday Feb. 10-11, otherwise the Big Ten Championships are next. Ohio State is hosting the women's championships Feb. 14-17, while Minnesota is hosting the men's championships Feb. 21-24.
