UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The 17th-ranked Penn State women's lacrosse team looks to build off a Sunday victory over Albany as they welcome the Drexel Dragons to Happy Valley for a midweek affair on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m.

HOW TO WATCH

The contest is the first of three-consecutive home games over the next eight days that will air live on the Big Ten Network and streaming live on BTN2Go.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP

  • This marks the eighth matchup in the all-time series with Penn State holding the 7-0 series lead. The two schools will meet for the sixth consecutive year dating back to the 2013 season. The teams also played one game each in 1994 and 1995.
  • Penn State is averaging 14.00 goals per contest in the seven games against the Dragons and have hit double-digits in six of the seven meetings outscoring Drexel 98-37.
  • Senior Katie O'Donnell leads all current players with five goals and two assists for seven points in three career games against Drexel while junior Madison Carter has added four goals and a pair of helpers for six points in her two games against the Dragons.
  • Penn State has won each of the last four meetings between the two teams by an average of 9.5 goals.

SCOUTING DREXEL

  • The Dragons finished 2017 just 7-9 overall and 2-4 in the CAA and are just 1-5 to begin the 2018 season. Dating back to last season, Drexel has just one win over its last nine games.
  • Last season, Drexel had just five players with double-digit goals and the only retuning member of that group is Alex Beilman who scored 11.
  • The Dragons are paced on offense by sophomore Lucy Schneidereith with 13 goals while freshmen classmates Colleen Grady and Karson Harris have each added 12. Grady has chipped in a team-best eight assists for 20 points to lead the Dragons.
  • Freshman Zoe Bennett has started all six games between the pipes for Drexel and has a 14.81 goals against average and a .371 save percentage. Drexel graduated its starting net-minder from last season in Carlee Ries who started all 16 games for the Dragons with a 11.39 goals against average and a .411 save percentage.
  • Drexel has lost four straight games by an average of 7.25 goals as they are being outscored 67-29 over the four-game losing skid.

  • Katie O'Donnell has scored multiple goals in every game so far this season and 15 straight dating back to 2017. Overall, the senior is riding a 29 game goal streak.
