UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.-- The Penn State women's tennis team will hit the road and travel to take on the No. 38 Nebraska Cornhuskers on Sunday, Mar. 25 at 10:00 a.m. EST. This is a quick away match for the squad, before they return home to play two Big Ten matches.
Penn State (6-7, 1-1 B1G) is coming off of its first conference win against Iowa. The team won the doubles point and then rattled off four singles wins, to secure the 5-2 win over Iowa.
The Cornhuskers (12-4, 1-2 B1G) most recently fell to Michigan, on Sunday, Mar. 18, 4-3. Nebraska was riding a 12 match winning streak, before falling to Michigan State and Michigan in consecutive matches.
"Our trip to Nebraska will be an exciting one," said head coach Chris Cagle. "They have been playing good tennis this season and that is shown by the ranking they have attained over the past few weeks. We know we need to be ready to play. On the flip side, we have been steadily improving with each week and it is fun to see the team get better. I anticipate a battle and a high level of tennis on Sunday at their place."
Links to live video and stats will be posted on Twitter and Facebook prior to the start of the match.
Up next, the Nittany Lions will be at home, hosting Michigan State on Friday, Mar. 30 at 4:30 p.m. and Michigan on Sunday, Apr. 1 at 11:00 a.m.
