UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The No. 27 Penn State women's gymnastics team heads to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for a quad meet against Pittsburgh, Temple, and No. 31 West Virginia. The meet is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start at the Fitzgerald Field House on Sunday, March 4.

Sunday's meet marks the first of three final regular season meets for the Blue & White.

The Nittany Lions are coming off a season-best score of 196.150 last weekend against the then-No. 18 George Washington Colonials.

As a team against the Colonials, the Nittany Lions posted season-best scores on vault (49.125) and on floor (49.350).

Individually, senior Briannah Tsang and freshman Lauren Bridgens both recorded career-best performances in the all-around. Tsang won her seventh all-around title of the season with a tally of 39.600, while Bridgens placed third with a 39.475.

On the day for the Nittany Lions, Bridgens tied with Sabrina Garcia for the uneven bars title (9.925), while Tsang won the vault (9.900) and tied for the floor exercise title (9.950).

SCOUTING PITTSBURGH
Last weekend, Pittsburgh (4-10, 3-1 EAGL) fell to then-No. 14 Nebraska, 196.425-193.600.

Nationally, Pitt ranks 44th in the regional-qualifying score (RQS) standings (194.440), 46th on vault (48.595), 33rd on bars (48.810), 51st on beam (48.290), and 39th on floor (48.890).

SCOUTING TEMPLE
Temple (15-5, 3-0 ECAC) is coming off a third-place finish in a tri-meet against Air Force and New Hampshire last weekend. In the tri-meet, New Hampshire finished first with a 195.225, followed by Air Force with a 194.475, and Temple took third with a 193.375.

Nationally, Temple ranks 47th in the RQS (194.190), 54th on vault (48.425), 48th on bars (48.530), 48th on beam (48.395), and 42nd on floor (48.830).

SCOUTING WEST VIRGINIA
Last weekend, West Virginia (7-7, 0-3 Big 12) fell to then-No. 1 Oklahoma, 198.025-195.750.

Nationally, West Virginia is 31st in the RQS (195.420), 15th on vault (49.075), 41st on bars (48.695), 30th on beam (48.795), and 31st on floor (49.000).

WEEKLY BIG TEN HONORS
Freshman Lauren Bridgens and senior Briannah Tsang have both garnered weekly honors from the Big Ten conference this season. Bridgens has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week three times, while Tsang has been tabbed the Big Ten Gymnast of the Week three times.

The Penn State women's gymnastics team is comprised of 10 returners and four newcomers. The Nittany Lions welcome freshmen Alissa Bonsall, Lauren Bridgens, Kourtney Chinnery, and Ava Verdeflor to the program.

FIRST CAREER TITLES
Three Nittany Lions have captured their first career titles this season. For Penn State, Alissa Bonsall shared the uneven bars title against Nebraska, Lauren Bridgens tied for the vault title and the all-around title against Eastern Michigan, and Gianna LaGuardia tied for the vault title at Maryland.

TSANG'S 62 TITLES
Senior Briannah Tsang has captured 45 individual titles and 17 all-around titles in her Nittany Lion career

With eight meets in the 2018 season complete, Tsang has 21 titles to her name. On the year, she has won five vault titles, five floor exercise titles, two uneven bars titles, two balance beam titles, and has captured at least a share of the all-around title seven times.

SIX-IN-A-ROW
Senior Briannah Tsang opened the 2018 season by capturing a share of the all-around title in each of the first six meets. In her Penn State career, Tsang has won the all-around 17 times. With her fourth-straight all-around title on Jan. 27, Tsang became the first Nittany Lion since Sharaya Musser to win four-straight all-around titles (2/23-3/16/13).

No. 27 Penn State heads to Provo, Utah, to take on No. 24 BYU, Texas Woman's University and Utah State on March 9. The meet is slated for a 7 p.m. (MST) start at the Smith Fieldhouse.
