UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - For the fourth consecutive year, four men's golf student-athletes have Âbeen selected to the PING All-Northeast Region Team, with the most individuals from one institution in the region and tied for the lead among Big Ten Conference members. The All-Region selections were announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America Saturday.
Recent Penn State graduate Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.) was named a PING All-Region pick for the fourth-consecutive time. Miller captured the top spot on Penn State's career scoring list with an average of 72.11 over 165 rounds in his four-year career. He joins Dirk Ayers (1992-1996), Matt Abbott (1997-2001), Robert Rohanna (2004-2008) and Kevin Foley (2006-2010) as Nittany Lions who were also four-time honorees.
Junior Charles Huntzinger (Duluth, Ga.) earned a spot on the 25-player All-Northeast Region team for the third year. Ryan Davis (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) and JD Hughes (Carlisle, Pa.) earned the All-Region honor for the second-straight year. A total of 154 players representing six areas of the country were selected.

The Nittany Lions recorded nine top-five finishes in their 10 tournaments this season, including a fourth-place team finish in the Big Ten Championships.
Penn State qualified for its fourth-straight NCAA Regional in 2018, and stands as one of only four Big Ten teams to claim that accomplishment. It is the second time Penn State has had four-consecutive regional appearances. Prior to the most recent stretch of appearances in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, the Nittany Lions also competed in four-straight regionals in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
