UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's lacrosse program finished the 2018 season at No. 20 in all three of the national polls, as the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association was the final poll to be released to wrap up the 2018 Season.
The Nittany Lions held the last spot in the USILA Coaches Poll, the Inside Lacrosse/Maverik Media Poll, and the Nike/US Lacrosse poll, all of which rank the Top-20 men's lacrosse programs throughout the season.
Penn State sent its 2018 senior class of Tripp Traynor, Tanner Peck, Will Schreiner, Hunter Pearl, Ryan Keenan, Chris Isenberg, and Tyler Butler, with an 8-6 record, and a 2-3 record in the Big Ten, including topping No. 5 Johns Hopkins for the first time in program history.
Looking towards the 2019 season, the Nittany Lions return 85-percent of their point production from 2018 and look to add back attackman 2017 USILA All-American Grant Ament, who was a 60-point player in the 2017 season. They also return sophomore Gerard Arceri, who was named to the third team for the first USILA All-American honor of his career, as well as sophomore Mac O'Keefe and junior Chris Sabia, who both earned honorable mention honors, both for the second-straight season.
