No. 4 Penn State set to host Indiana, No. 17 Purdue



UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.
– The No. 4 Penn State women's volleyball team host Indiana and No. 17 Purdue for back-to-back Big Ten matches this weekend, as the Nittany Lions face the Hoosiers on Friday night at 7:30 pm, and take on the Boilermakers at 8 pm on Saturday evening inside of Rec Hall.

PARKING
Women's Volleyball fans will have free parking in the Nittany Parking Deck, as well as in the Red A lots off North Atherton Street at White Course Drive. The Rec Hall ticket office opens 90 minutes before all matches.

PROMOTIONS
Friday: Dig Pink Match

Penn State has partnered with the Side-Out Foundation for their annual Dig Pink match. Penn State, who will be donning pink uniforms, is asking all fans to wear pink to help bring awareness for breast cancer research. The Nittany Lions will be auctioning off the pink game-worn uniforms in a silent auction format during the match, and will also be raffling off select youth-sized pink uniforms. Proceeds will go towards the Nittany Lions' Dig Pink® Campaign goal of $5,000. If fans are unable to attend, donations to the Penn State women's volleyball campaign can be made HERE

Saturday: Military Appreciation Night & Football Ticket Discount
Former and active members of the military will receive $4 tickets with their military IDs at the ticket window. Fans who make their way across campus from the Penn State football game can bring their football ticket to get into the women's volleyball match for just $5.

DIGGIN' MACHINE
Kendall White scooped up 300 digs so far this season, putting her at 1,262 for her career, just three digs from moving into eighth place. She is the first to surpass 1,000 since Dom Gonzalez in 2011-14.

FRESHMAN FORCES
Penn State has seen six of their eight freshmen play significant time so far this season. Jonni Parker, the Nittany Lions' starting opposite, is currently the leading point scorer, totaling 215.5 points on the season. Kaitlyn Hord and Serena Gray have found themselves as the starting middle blockers. Allyson Cathey had to stepped in to start at the outside position during four matched without Nia Reed. Both Jenna Hampton and Gabby Blossom have seen time as defensive specialists. The rookies combine for 484 of the team's 895 kills, or 54.1-percent. They also have recorded 53.8-percent of the total points.
