No. 7 Women's Volleyball Heads To No. 8 Nebraska, Iowa

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 7 Penn State women's volleyball team heads to No. 8 Nebraska and Iowa for two Big Ten Conference road matches this weekend as the Nittany Lions take on the Huskers on the Big Ten Network on Friday evening at 8 p.m. ET, and then head to Iowa for an 8 p.m. ET match on Saturday evening.

Nebraska is one of the lone teams to have a sustained winning record over the Nittany Lions, holding an 11-21 all-time advantage. Penn State's senior class earned their first ever win over the Huskers on 10/13/18.

Balanced Attack
Penn State has had five different athletes lead them in kills so far this season. Nia Reed has led the Nittany Lions on seven occasions, including a career-high 20 kills against Nebraska. Taylor Leath and Jonni Parker have led in six matches. Kaitlyn Hord has led in three matches, while freshman Allyson Cathey, who earned the start while Nia Reed was out, and led in kills on two occasions.
 
DIGGIN' MACHINE
Kendall White scooped up 336 digs so far this season, putting her at 1,262 for her career, just three digs from moving into eighth place. She is the first to surpass 1,250 since Dom Gonzalez in 2011-14. With just two digs, White will become just the third Nittany Lion to reach 1,300 during the junior season, joining Kim Kumfer and Kaleena Walters, and just the first during the 25-point rally scoring era.
