A total of 33 Penn State football alumni are populating the rosters of 20 National Football League teams. The Nittany Lions are perennially a top-20 program in producing players in the NFL. The NFL's 10th week of the season concluded with a Monday night battle between Nittany Lions. Penn State NFL elder statesman Robbie Gould kicked three field goals for the 49ers, including a go-ahead boot with 2:46 remaining, but first-year Giants running back Saquon Barkley had a 23-yard reception with 20 yards after the catch to move New York into the red zone, setting up a game-winning touchdown with 57 seconds remaining.
Wide receivers Allen Robinson and Chris Godwin shined on Sunday with 100-yard games. Additionally, Jason Cabinda made his first career start at middle linebacker for the Oakland Raiders.
