- The Huskers are one of eight Big Ten teams that are separated by just three games in the standings heading into the final weekend of the regular season.
- Nebraska is coming off its bye week and will be playing its first game since Feb. 25 when the Huskers dropped a 74-58 decision to Iowa.
- Hannah Whitish leads a balanced Husker attack with 10.3 points per game and a team-best 121 assists.
AGAINST THE HUSKERS
- The all-time series between Penn State and Nebraska is currently tied at 6-6, but the Huskers have won five of the last six matchups.
- The teams will be meeting for the first time since a 59-51 Nebraska win in last season's matchup in Lincoln on Feb. 22, 2018.
- Penn State couldn't overcome a 28 percent shooting night from the floor in the 59-51 road loss last season.
- Four Lady Lions finished in double figures, led by Amari Carter's 14 points. Siyeh Frazier added 11, while Kamaria McDaniel and Teniya Page chipped in 10 apiece.
- Penn State won the last matchup between the two teams in the Bryce Jordan Center 86-69 during the 2016-17 season.
2019 SENIOR DAY
- Penn State's five-member senior class will be honored prior to tipoff of Saturday's regular-season finale against Nebraska.
- The senior class of Amari Carter, Leah Knizner, Sarah McMurtry, Teniya Page and Kayleigh Semion has made an impact both on and off the court throughout their four years. The five seniors have helped lead the Lady Lions to 61 wins while scoring a combined 3,046 career points.
LADY LION LEGEND
- Lady Lion play-by-play announcer Jerry Fisher is set to take the mic for his final home game Saturday against Nebraska.
- Fisher is the longest-tenured NCAA women's basketball broadcaster and will be retiring at the conclusion of this season, his 40th as the voice of the Lady Lions.
- Fisher began his 40 years with the Lady Lions in the 1979-80 season.
- He has been a part of 835 wins, 25 NCAA Tournament appearances and 10 Big Ten titles.
- Jerry Fisher is the son of fellow Nittany Lion legend Fran Fisher. Fran, who passed away is 2015 at the age of 91, was the long-time voice of Penn State Football. He was the Nittany Lions' play-by-play voice from 1970-82 and 1994-99, and also served as the Executive Director of the Nittany Lion Club and an Assistant Athletics Director. Fran was the voice behind many notable Penn State Football victories, including the 1983 Sugar Bowl.
- Fran Fisher began his five-decade association with Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics in 1966. Between Fran and Jerry, the father-son Fisher duo has been a mainstay at Penn State for 53 years.
BACK-TO-BACK WINS
- The Lady Lions have won two of their last three games after turning out their two best shooting performances of the season as Penn State downed Purdue 72-61 (Feb. 21) and Illinois 76-65 (Feb. 24).
- Penn State shot a season-best 52.8 percent (28-for-53) from the field Sunday in the road win against the Illini. The Lady Lions drained a season-high 10 three-pointers.
- The Lady Lions were 50.0 percent (26-for-52) from the field in the Feb. 21 victory over Purdue. It marked the first time that Penn State has shot at least 50 percent from the field since Dec. 6, 2017 against Fordham (55.8 percent), and the first time against a Big Ten opponent since Feb. 24, 2016 against Iowa (50.0 percent).
- Junior Jaida Travascio-Green averaged 16.5 ppg in the two victories thanks to a 47.1 percent (8-for-17) performance from three-point range.
- Senior Amari Carter and sophomore Kamaria McDaniel have chipped in 16.0 ppg in the two victories, while Siyeh Frazier has contributed 15.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest.
