WALLACE, N.C. – Due to snow on Tuesday morning the final day of the River Landing Classic has been canceled and without the completion of the second round on Monday night the scores reverted back to the first round with Penn State finishing tied for sixth after firing a 13-over round of 301.

Middle Tennessee captured the tournament crown with a 2-over score of 290 while Campbell, Rutgers, East Tennessee State and Memphis each finished tied for second to round out the top-5 ahead of the Nittany Lions.

Senior Jackie Rogowicz (Yardley, Pa.) finished tied for eighth individually after registering a 1-over round of 73. This marks the senior's third top-10 finish so far this season.

Classmates Cara Basso (Downingtown, Pa.) and Lauren Waller (Canonsburg, Pa.) each carded opening rounds of 75 (3-over) to finish tied for 26th. All three student-athletes excelled on the back-nine with Basso shooting 2-under, 34, while Waller and Rogowicz finished the back nine with scores of 36 (even) and 37 (1-over), respectively.

Junior Megan McLean (Lebanon, N.J.) and freshman Sarah Willis (Eaton, Ohio) along with junior Maddy Herr (New Hope, Pa.), who competed as an individual, each registered 6-over rounds of 78 to finish tied for 47th.

As a team Penn State carded just seven birdies in the opening round of play.
