UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State women's soccer team hits the road for the first time during Big Ten play this week. The Nittany Lions battle Minnesota on Friday, September 27 at 7 p.m. ET and No. 19 Wisconsin on Sunday, September 29 at 1 p.m. ET.

NATION LEADERS

Senior Kaleigh Riehl leads all of NCAA Division 1 with 86 career games played. Ellie Jean is currently second on that list with 85 career games played. Sam Coffey is fourth on the active career leaders with 0.54 assists per game. Coffey is sixth on the active list with 27 assists. Amanda Dennis is 13th with a 0.72 goals against average. 

DYNAMIC DUO

Leading the Nittany Lions with seven goals is redshirt freshman Ally Schlegel. Schlegel scored in six consecutive games earlier this season for the Nittany Lions. This is the fourth-longest streak in Penn State women's soccer history. Tiffany Weimer holds the Penn State record with 17 straight games with a goal during the 2005 season.

Second on the team is Frankie Tagliaferri, penciling in four goals while leading the Big Ten with seven assists.Tagliaferri and Schlegel are tied for second in the Big Ten with 15 points.

B1G COMPANY

Frankie Tagliaferri tied a Big Ten and school record with four assists in the game against Michigan State. The last Nittany Lion to accomplish this was two-time World Cup champion, Ali Krieger. Krieger accomplished this on 9/17/2003 against Bucknell.

BRICK WALL

Senior goalkeeper Amanda Dennis has been a staple in goal for the Nittany Lions for the past three seasons. Dennis has started 53 games for the Nittany Lions and has 33 wins in the net. She ranks second all-time in Penn State history with a 0.72 goals against average. In 2018, she was named to the Big Ten All-Tournament team.

JUST WIN

Head Coach Erica Dambach has led the Nittany Lions women's soccer program to new heights and is on her way to becoming one of the best coaches in the history of women's college soccer.
Entering 2019, Dambach's winning percentage ranks 17th all-time in NCAA Division I history. 

WEEKEND OPPONENTS

Entering the 2019 season, The Nittany Lions have a 22-5-2 record against Minnesota. In the last meeting between The Nittany Lions and the Gophers, Penn State defeated Minnesota 2-0. Kerry Abello scored both goals in the win. The Nittany Lions and Wisconsin have a series record of 21-4-4. The last win for the Nittany Lions came in 2016 when Penn State defeated Wisconsin 1-0 in Madison. Laura Suero scored in the 72nd minute and Amanda Dennis made three saves in the win for Penn State.
