-Penn State's 9-2 start is its best since the 2014-15 season.
-This was the sixth meeting between Penn State and Alabama with all but one game taking place in the month of December. The Nittany Lions broke the four-game Tide win steak and won by the same margin, two points, as their last win in the series, 68-66, on Dec. 29, 1965.
-Penn State improved to 6-0 at home against nonconference opponents this season and are 59-9 (86.7 percent) under coach Patrick Chambers in these games.
-In the last four years, Penn State has won 92.3 percent of its games with a 48-4 record when it holds its opponent to a field goal percentage of less than 40 percent, improving to 6-0 this season in this category.

-Lamar Stevens made his 115th consecutive start, the second-longest current streak in the nation.
-Mike Watkins has recorded at least 10 rebounds in Penn State's last three home contests and is three points shy of the 1,000 career point milestone.
-Myeron Jones finished with 17 points, and his ninth time in the season's first 11 games this season with at least 10 points.
-Lamar Stevens recorded his 100th career block and moved to No. 7 in Penn State career blocks, tying former Nittany Lion Donovan Jack.
-Curtis Jones set a season-high for points with 18, nine of them coming from threes. His three 3-pointers tied his season-high for threes made.
-Stevens recorded his second consecutive double-double and the 14th of his career with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
-Stevens finished with a career-high five and tied his career-best total with six assists.
-Stevens moved up to the No. 8 spot on the Nittany Lions' career rebounding list, now with 747.
