Five Earn Inside Lacrosse Media All-America Honors

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's lacrosse team saw five student-athletes honored as Inside Lacrosse All-Americans on Sunday Night.

Redshirt-junior Grant Ament was named IL First Team All-America on attack. Senior Chris Sabia and junior Mac O'Keefe both earned a spot on the second team, while senior Nick Spillane was honored as a third team member. Junior face-off specialist Gerard Arceri was an honorable mention selection.

Ament, a native of Doylestown, Pa., has recorded 109 points on the season so far with 26 assists and an NCAA single-season record 83 assists. He is shooting .426 on the year and has 17 ground balls. He was named a 2019 Tewaaraton finalist and the unanimous Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year.

O'Keefe, a native of Syosset, N.Y., leads the nation in goals at 66 and has added a personal best 18 assists for 84 points. He has recorded three-plus goals in 13 games this season and is shooting .462 on 143 total shots. He was a First Team All-Big Ten honoree.

Sabia, a native of Harleysville, Pa., has recorded 17 caused turnovers and 37 ground balls. He has also added two goals. He was named the 2019 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year for his season.

Spillane, a native of Franklin Square, N.Y., has 44 points so far this season with 25 goals and 19 assists. He has added 19 ground balls and four caused turnovers.

Arceri, a native of St. James, N.Y., has accumulated 243 face-off wins at 63.5-percent. He has added 165 ground balls, good for 10.31 per game. He has also added five goals and two assists.

Penn State will return to action on Sunday, May 19 at 12 p.m. vs. Loyola Maryland in East Hartford, Conn., at Rentschler Field.
