Austin Hinton was an offensive lineman for the Penn State Nittany Lion football team from 2004-2008. During his time with the team, he played in the Orange Bowl, Outback Bowl and Alamo Bowl. Hinton graduated in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in telecommunications and quickly began an incredibly successful career.
Upon graduation, Hinton worked for FOX 5 and then the Blue Man Group, helping create their Las Vegas Show. In 2009, he attended film school and created a documentary on Penn State quarterback Daryll Clark. Hinton's professional journey then brought him to work with Who Wants to be a Millionaire, followed by the first global virtual concert with Skype. He then worked for NBC Sports as a streaming specialist and producer, which lead to winning two Emmy awards for work on the the 2014 Sochi and 2016 Rio Olympics. Today he works for Disney and ABC News, and co-operates a bar in New York City called Jack and Fanny's specializing in special and Penn State game day events with the NYC Alumni Society.
Outside of his career, Hinton works as a mentor for the Black and Latin X Group for kids in Brooklyn and the Bronx. He also recently started the toughest job of all, becoming a new parent!
