THE MATCHUP
Penn State leads the all-time series with Ohio State 73-38-1, but the Buckeyes got the better of the Nittany Lions both times in the 2020 season and have won eight of the last ten matches in the series.

PAV ON TOP
Head coach Mark Pavlik leads all active NCAA men's volleyball coaches with 584 career wins, a mark that ranks sixth all-time across all divisions.

IN THE POLLS AND RANKINGS
Penn State was selected #11 in the preseason AVCA DI-II men's volleyball poll after finishing the 2020 season ranked 10th overall. The Nittany Lions were also picked to finish first in the 2021 EIVA preseason coaches poll.

YOUNG, ATHLETIC AND ENERGETIC
The 2021 Nittany Lion roster does not feature a senior in terms of athletic eligibility, marking them as one of the youngest squads in the nation. However, Coach Pavlik and team captains Will Bantle and Brett Wildman expect this squad to be a treat to watch for the upcoming season. Read more in our Men's Volleyball Notebook.
