FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Two members of the Penn State track & field team will represent the Nittany Lions at this weekend's NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The first Nittany Lion in action will be sophomore Sincere Rhea, who will compete in the 60-meter hurdles semifinals on Friday March 12 at 3:15 p.m. ET. At last week's Big Ten Indoor Championships, Rhea became the first Penn State runner in program history to claim the indoor conference title in the event. His .01 second margin of victory was the closest in Big Ten history. He will look to become Penn State's first All-American in the 60-meter hurdles since Mike Shine, who finished third in the 60-meter hurdles at the national event in 1975.
Freshman Victoria Vanriele will compete in the 800-meter semifinals on Friday evening at 8:55 p.m. ET. Vanriele also claimed gold at the Big Ten Championships, becoming the sixth straight Penn State runner to win the 800-meter crown at the conference championships. She will look to become Penn State's second 800-meter national champion, as Danae Rivers won gold in 2019.
The NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will be streamed in its entirety on WatchESPN and on the ESPN App. Friday's session will be split into two sessions. Streaming links and stats information can be found below.
