Fyock Named Big Ten Men's Lacrosse Co-Specialist of the Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State's Aleric Fyock was named the Big Ten Men's Lacrosse Co-Specialist of the Week on Tuesday. The redshirt sophomore earned the award after leading Penn State to a 10-9 win at No. 15 Ohio State while making his first career start in goal.

Fyock made 15 saves on 24 chances for a .625 save percentage against the Buckeyes. He secured the victory for Penn State with a kick save on a shot from five yards out with less than 10 seconds to play. Fyock stopped four of the six shots he faced in the fourth quarter.

It was a huge win for Penn State, earning the Lions the No. 3 seed and a home game in the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten Tournament. They will host sixth-seeded Johns Hopkins on Saturday at 6 p.m., with the winner advancing to play second-seeded Rutgers in the semifinal.

Fyock has played in each of the past three games. He made 36 saves on 62 chances for a .581 save percentage during that stretch.
