Women's Golf Announces 2021 Fall Schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Head coach Denise St. Pierre and the Penn State women's golf team announced its 2021 fall schedule earlier this week. The Nittany Lions will compete in five tournaments in the fall including the annual Nittany Lion Invitational to open the season.

Penn State will open its fall slate with the 45th annual Nittany Lion Invitational on September 4-5. In celebration of 100 years of Penn State Golf the tournament will be held on the White Course in 2021. This event was supposed to take place in the fall of 2020 but was not held due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The following week the Nittany Lions return to the Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall on September 12-14. This marks the tenth time since 2010 that the Nittany Lions will travel to Charleston, South Carolina for the event.

Penn State will then take a short trip up north to Boston making its first-ever appearance at the Boston College Intercollegiate on September 19-21. This marks just the fourth BC Intercollegiate since the return of the reintroduction of the tournament in the fall of 2017.

Following a week off, the Nittany Lions open October with another unfamiliar tournament as they take the short trip to Norfolk, Virginia for the third-annual Princess Anne Invitational hosted by Old Dominion on October 3-5.

Penn State will then have the next three weeks off before closing the fall portion of its schedule at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, North Carolina on October 29-31. This marks the seventh consecutive fall season that the Nittany Lions have concluded in Wilmington.

Penn State lost just two seniors to graduation from the 2020-21 roster and returns a veteran group for the upcoming season while adding a decorated freshman group that will continue the strong internal competition come September.
