Eleven Penn State Softball Student-Athletes Named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Eleven student-athletes from the Penn State softball team were recognized as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2020-21 school year, as announced by the Association on October 5.
 
Chelsea Bisi, Lexie Black, Logan Black, Maggie Finnegan, Liana Jones, Ally Kurland, Amanda Mack, Emily Maddock, Paige Olson, Kathryn Rex, and Claire Swedberg were the 11 Nittany Lions honored for having at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average during the last school year.
 
The team rankings and individual honors are submitted by member head coaches and recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories.
 
Bisi, Logan Black, Finnegan, Kurland, Rex, and Swedberg also received Academic All-Big Ten honors in the spring in addition to 10 other Nittany Lions for a program-record 16 on the list.
 
Bisi, Logan Black, Kurland, Rex, and Swedberg also were named 2020-21 Big Ten Distinguished Scholars in July for having a 3.70 GPA or higher for the academic year.
