Penn State Announces 2022 Women's Gymnastics Schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State women's gymnastics head coach Sarah Brown announced the team's 2022 schedule on Monday. The Nittany Lions are set to compete in 10 regular season meets, including four home meets at Rec Hall.

"I am so happy to announce the 2022 competitive schedule," Brown said. "This year is going to be great and we're looking forward to kicking off the season with the Keystone Classic! The teams in the state of Pennsylvania have worked hard to coordinate this event for years and I'm excited to take part in the event on January 7th. Shortly after that, we jump into our Big Ten schedule, which is always competitive and I'm looking forward to traveling to universities we haven't gone head-to-head with in quite some time! We will be hosting four home meets this year, each of which will be special in their own way, and I can't wait to have fans back in Rec Hall supporting our team!"

The Nittany Lions will begin the 2022 campaign at Temple University in the four-team Keystone Classic on Jan. 7. The meet will feature four teams from the state of Pennsylvania, as Penn State will compete against the Penn, Pittsburgh and meet host Temple.

Penn State kicks-off its six-meet Big Ten schedule on the road against Ohio State on Jan. 22. The meet will be one of four road conference meets, as the Nittany Lions will travel to Iowa City on Feb. 4 for a matchup with Iowa, Ann Arbor for an ESPN televised dual with defending national champion Michigan on Feb. 13 and Toledo for the Big Five Meet on Feb. 19.

The team is scheduled to host four home meets at Rec Hall this season, beginning with a dual against Yale on Jan. 14. Penn State men's and women's gymnastics will host a double dual meet on Jan. 29 when the Penn State women take on Illinois. The Nittany Lions will be featured on Big Ten Network on Feb. 26 when they host Maryland in a Big Ten dual meet before closing out the home portion of the schedule on March 5 in a tri-meet with Cornell and Denver.

Promotional themes and events for Penn State's home meets will be announced at a later time.
