Nittany Lions in the NFL: Week 4

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – A total of 38 Penn State football alumni are populating the rosters of 23 National Football League teams. 

The Nittany Lions annually are among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL. In addition, six former Nittany Lions are members of NFL coaching staffs and two PSU student-athletes from sports other than football are on rosters. 

Five players from PSU's 2020 squad are on NFL rosters. 

A total of 20 Penn State alums saw action in NFL games during Week four. 

Odafe Oweh (2018-20) LB, Baltimore Ravens
Ravens 23, Broncos 7
Oweh recorded one sack and one tackle in the Ravens' win over the Broncos. 
 
Ryan Bates (2015-18) OT, Buffalo Bills
Bills 40, Texans 0
Bates saw action in Buffalo's win over Houston.
 
DaQuan Jones (2011-13) DE, Carolina Panthers
Cowboys 36, Panthers 24
Jones recorded one tackle in Carolina's win against Dallas.
 
Jesse James (2012-14) TE, Chicago Bears
Bears 24, Lions 14
James saw action in Chicago's win vs. Detroit.
 
Connor McGovern (2018) OG, Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys 36, Panthers 28
McGovern saw action in Dallas's win against Carolina.
 
Micah Parsons (2018-20) LB, Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys 36, Panthers 28
Parsons had one sack and four tackles, in which three were solo.
 
Jason Cabinda (2014-16) FB, Detroit Lions
Bears 24, Lions 14
Cabinda saw action for the Lions in their loss against the Bears.
 
Amani Oruwariye (2015-18) CB, Detroit Lions

Oruwariye recorded six tackles, four of which were solo, in Chicago's loss to Detroit.
 
Adrian Amos (2011-14) DB, Green Bay Packers
Packers 27, Steelers 17
Amos had three solo tackles in Green Bay's win against Pittsburgh.
 
Carl Nassib (2013-15) DE, Las Vegas Raiders

Nassib recorded a tackle in Las Vegas' loss to the Chargers. 
 
Nick Scott (2015-18) S, Los Angeles Rams

Scott saw action in the Rams' loss against the Cardinals.

Mike Gesicki (2014-17) TE, Miami Dolphins
Colts 27, Dolphins 17
Gesicki had five receptions for 57 yards and one touchdown in Miami's loss against Indianapolis.
 
Blake Gillikin (2016-19) P, New Orleans Saints
Giants 27, Saints 21
Gillikin averaged 44 yards on his punts in the Saints' loss to the Giants.

Hogan had two receptions for 15 yards in the Saints' loss to the Giants.
 
Saquon Barkley (2015-17) RB, New York Giants

Barkley had 13 carries for 62 yards on and a touchdown on ground and caught five passes for 74 yards and a touchdown the  in New York's win against New Orleans.
 
Austin Johnson (2013-15) DT, New York Giants

Johnson recorded six tackles, two of which were solo in the Giants' win against the Saints.
