UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics and the Penn State track & field program mourns the passing of decorated alum Cottrell (C.J.) Hunter III. He was 52 years old.
A 1990 graduate, Hunter remains one of the most decorated throwers in program history. A five-time All-American, he achieved national glory at the 1990 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships when he claimed the second gold medal in Penn State indoor history.
