University Park, PA – After a tough first round loss to Queens University, Penn State Men's Rugby are excited to be hosting their first match in 10 Months against PA rival Kutztown University, Saturday, 17 September at 12p on West Campus Fields.
The last time the two teams met in a 15's match was the Fall 2021, the Lions edged Kutztown in a tight contest 33-30 at Kutztown. The two teams have a storied history of matches and have been playing against each other since the early days of Penn State Rugby.
In recent times, since 2015, Penn State has managed to get the better of Kutztown on 5 occasions and lost on two. Majority of these matches have been decided by a try or less, with the last meeting being decided by 3 points on the last play of the match.
The team will again be led by Dalton Musselman and Campbell Halloran and will be looking to rebound after last weekend.
