UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's soccer program travels to Maryland for a Big Ten Conference match on Sunday, Oct. 9 with a 1 p.m. kickoff broadcasted live on B1G+.

SCOUTING MARYLAND 

  • Maryland is coming off a 0-4 loss to Michigan State last Sunday.
  • The Terps have lost their past four matches in B1G play but won the conference opener 1-0 vs. Michigan.

  • Senior Alina Stahl leads the Terps with ten points on four goals and two assists.
  • Graduate student Emory Wegener has taken over keeper duties in the last three matches. She has nine saves and a .563 save percentage.
  • Coach Meghan Ryan Nemzer continues her first season at the helm of the program. Nemzer comes to Maryland after spending the previous 14 seasons on the coaching staff at Rutgers.

PENN STATE AGAINST MARYLAND

  • Penn State leads the all-time series against Maryland 14-4-0.
  • In their last matchup, PSU won 5-1 on Oct. 8, 2021. Sam Coffey netted a hat trick and Schlegel and Wasserman each scored a goal.
  • PSU has outscored Maryland 16-1 in their last five matches.
  • The last time Maryland beat PSU was on Nov. 14, 2004 when the Terps won 1-0 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
