Penn State Announces Outdoor Track & Field Schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State track & field head coach John Gondak has announced the program's 2022 outdoor meet schedule.

"Penn State Track & Field is excited to look ahead to the outdoor season," Gondak said. "We have an excellent schedule that will challenge our athletes to compete at a high level and prepare for championship season. We look forward to returning to competitions like the Penn Relays that have not been held for the past two years. We are ready to represent Penn State and wear the Blue and White!"

The Nittany Lions will kick off outdoor competition on March 19 with the first of two trips to Philadelphia at the Penn Challenge. The meet begins a run of 10 consecutive road meets before the team closes out the season at home for the Jim Thorpe Invitational on May 6.

Penn State is scheduled to return to the prestigious Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia from April 28-30. The Nittany Lions have been a fixture at the event, with Penn Relay champions dating back to 1910. Penn State claimed two championships in their last appearance in 2019, with wins in the men's hammer throw (Morgan Shigo) and the women's sprit medley relay (Brooke-Lynn Williams, Kiara Lester, Alexis Holmes and Danae Rivers).
