Fracyon Highlights USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American List

SPARKS, Md. - The Penn State men's lacrosse team scored five USA Lacrosse Magazine All-Americans as announced by the magazine on Tuesday.
 
Jack Fracyon secured a Second-Team All-America nod following being named Big Ten Specialist of the Year and named to the All-Big Ten First Team. Fracyon led the Big Ten in goals against average and save percentage in the regular season allowing just 10.03 goals per game and saved 58.2 shots fired at him. He also led the Big Ten is saves per game stopping 13.83 shots per game.
 
He was named Big Ten Specialist of the Week once this season as well as USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Player of the Week on March 14. Tallied recorded a career-high 18 saves against Lafayette in the first game of the season. He started in every game this season recording a record of 9-4 which is a career-high in wins in a season. 
 
Matt Traynor was named to a Third-Team All-America selection. During the season he's tallied 27 goals and seven assists for 34 points. He sits second on the team in man-up goals with four while being tied for second on the team in goals as well. Traynor has recorded two five goal games while tallying seven multi-goal games. He set career-highs in season goals, points, assists, multi-goal games, ground balls, and caused turnovers in a season.
 
TJ Malone captured an All-American Honorable Mention nod as he was who also was a First Team All-Big Ten pick and the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year. He led the Big Ten in points with a career-high 54 off 26 goals and 28 assists.
 
The graduate student captured one Big Ten weekly award this season with his eight point outing against sixth-ranked Johns Hopkins with four goals and four assists. This season alone, Malone has ranked up seven five point plus games and eight multi-goal games. He led the Nittany Lions during the regular season in points, assists and was tied for first in game-winning goals and second in ground ball pickups.
 
The West Chester, Pa. native was named a 2023 Tewaaraton Award Top 25 nominee earlier this season as this is the first time in his career, he has been named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year as well as a First Team All-Big Ten selection.
 
Jack Posey and Grant Haus were also honorable mention selections as Posey was also named to the All-Big Ten Second Team as he was the Nittany Lions top defenseman during the regular season. He finished out the regular season with nine caused turnovers which is tied for a career-high and has scooped a career-high 24 ground balls. During the season he was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week once for his play against Penn. This is the first time in his career he's been named an All-American Honorable Mention.

Haus sealed also sealed an All-Big Ten Second Team selection. Haus has tallied two goals while forcing a career-high nine turnovers and scooped a career-high 28 ground balls. He forced multiple turnovers in three games this season including three against Ohio State.

Penn State returns to action on Sunday, May 14 when they host Princeton in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Game-time is set for 7:30 p.m.
