Women’s Cross Country Concludes Outstanding Season at NCAA Championships

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Penn State women's cross country team finished out their 2023 campaign at the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. The Nittany Lion women placed 31st in the country in their first trip back to the national meet since 2019.

"While today wasn't the day we wanted, it has been a special season for this group of women,' said Head Coach John Gondak. "We had a goal to get back to the NCAA Championships this year and we did that. Over 300 universities start the season trying to get to this meet, so it was a great accomplishment for us to make it here. We'll have six of our top seven runners back next year, so the future is bright."
