UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's gymnastics team announces its home meet promotion schedule on Dec. 7. The Nittany Lions will host five home meets at Rec Hall in 2024, including the 2024 Big Five Meet.
The Nittany Lions will be celebrating the 60th year of Penn State Women's gymnastics all season long with formal alumni recognition taking place on Saturday, February 24 when Penn State hosts the annual Big Five meet.
Each meet will feature a Kids Zone, complete with gymnastics-related activities, arts and crafts, and much more! Additionally, Penn State gymnasts will be available for autographs following every home competition. Team posters and scorecards will be available at each meet (while supplies last) as well.
Jan. 12, 6 p.m. – Kids Night – Home Opener – vs. Iowa State
- Bring the family and join the Nittany Lions for their 2024 home opener!
- In addition to our Kids Zone, children are encouraged to participate in our leotard coloring contest! (More info to follow)
Jan. 19, 6 p.m. – Mental Health Awareness – Winter Wonderland – vs. Michigan State
- Penn State women's gymnastics is proud to support Mental Health Awareness and we hope you'll join us to do so as well!
- While highlighting the importance of positive mental health, the Nittany Lions encourage all who attend to join our Winter Wonderland theme night! Kids will be treated to winter-themed crafts, in-meet entertainment, and more!
- Winter-Themed Kids Zone!
Feb. 3, 2 p.m. – THON – Scout Day – vs. Minnesota
- We Are…For The Kids!! Join the Nittany Lions in celebrating THON at Rec Hall on Saturday afternoon as we take on Minnesota.
- Fans will be treated to a THON-themed meet where we will honor Four Diamonds children and their families.
Feb. 23-24 – Big 5 Meet – Alumni Meet – vs. Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, and Michigan
- Come on out to Rec Hall on Friday and Saturday evening for a gymnastics-filled weekend as the Nittany Lions host all ten Big Ten schools for the conference's annual Big Five meet.
- Penn State is proud to honor its alumni and in this, the 60th year of Penn State women's gymnastics, we hope you join us to celebrate those who paved the way for us! Formal recognition of Penn State women's gymnastics alumni will take place on Saturday, Feb. 24.
March 1, 6 p.m. – Senior Day – vs. Ball State, Towson, and WVU
- Join us for Senior Day festivities, presented by the Penn State Alumni Association.
- Honor the Nittany Lion seniors throughout this evening's meet, with a formal senior day ceremony set to take place following the competition.

Fans are reminded that women's gymnastics is a free event, and we would love to see many smiling faces in the stands at Rec Hall each and every night. Doors open 60 minutes prior to every meet and team march in will begin roughly 15 minutes before the designated start time of each meet so be sure to arrive early to take in all that Penn State women's gymnastics has to offer!
