UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State men's tennis team (14-11, 1-7 B1G) took four courts to complete the comeback over the Indiana Hoosiers (12-13, 1-7 B1G) on Saturday afternoon in the Penn State Indoor Tennis Center.
DOUBLES
Finishing first, Miko Eala and Stefan Simeunovic defeated Sam Landau and Luc Boulier 6-3 on No. 2.
Indiana took two straight courts to clinch the doubles point. On court three, Charl Morgan and Pranav Nemani lost 6-4 to Luka Vukovic and Ekansh Kumar. The Hoosiers secured the point on court one in a 7-6(4) decision that saw Sam Bossem and Loren Byers fall just short of Patrick Fletchall and Ilya Tiraspolsky.
SINGLES
The Nittany Lions went on to claim four singles courts in order to secure the match. Morgan took down Vukovic 6-2, 6-4 to finish first before Eala made it 2-2 Penn State in a 6-4, 6-1 decision on court two over Landau. In a hard-fought victory, Byers earned the third singles point as he defeated Fletchall 6-4, 7-6(9). Simeunovic clicnhed it on court five, 7-5, 6-1.
