ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The Penn State men's golf team wraps up its Spring Break trip down south Monday and Tuesday when the Nittany Lions compete in The Johnnie-O at Sea Island at the Sea Island Plantation Course.
The 54-hole event begins with two rounds Monday before the final 18 holes will be played Tuesday at the par-72, 7,060-yard Sea Island Plantation Course.
The loaded tournament field features Augusta, Cincinnati, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, Marquette, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, Rutgers, Texas and UNCG.
Penn State will be represented by Patrick Sheehan, Jake Griffin, Jimmy Meyers, Zach Smith and Billy Pabst Jr. Griffin led the Nittany Lions last week at the Colleton River Collegiate, finishing tied for 10th at 8-under, 208. Sheehan leads Penn State this season with a 71.67 stroke average.
