Opening Day of Colleton River Collegiate Shortened Due to Darkness

Colleton River Collegiate Day 1 Results
 
BLUFFTON, S.C. – The Penn State men's golf team wrapped up the opening day of the Colleton River Collegiate at the Colleton River Club's Nicklaus Course Monday.
 
The opening day of the 54-hole tournament was shortened due to darkness and teams will resume action with the conclusion of the second round and entirety of the third round Tuesday. Penn State shot a 3-under, 285, in the first round and currently sits at 5-over in the second round, standing in 13th place heading into Tuesday.
 
Jake Griffin currently leads the way for the Nittany Lions at 2-under and in a tie for 26th place. He carded an even 72 in the opening round and sits 2-under through 15 holes of the second round.
 
Freshman Zach Smith led the way for the Nittany Lions in the morning round, shooting a 4-under, 68. He is 4-over through 13 holes of the second round and currently tied for 43rd place.
 
Patrick Sheehan carded a 2-under, 70, in the morning round and sits 4-over through 14 holes of the second round. He is tied for 58th place.
 
Jimmy Meyers is also tied for 58th after shooting a 3-over, 75, in the morning, and sitting 1-under through 14 second-round holes.
 
Billy Pabst Jr. shot a 4-over, 76, in the opening round and sits 7-over through 16 holes of the second round. Robby O'Regan, playing as an individual, carded a 5-over, 77, in the morning and is 2-over through 13 holes of the second round.
 
The Colleton River Collegiate concludes Tuesday with the conclusion of the second round in addition to the third and final round. Live scoring will be available via GolfStat, with a live video stream available via GKLive.TV.
