UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) has announced its 2025 NCAA Fencing post-season honors. The 2025 National Collegiate Fencing Championships were hosted by Penn State this past weekend and the Nittany Lions garnered one All-American at the event, placing seventh as a team.
Freshman Mohamed Yasseen earned All-America laurels with a fifth place finish in the men’s epee this past weekend. Yasseen is in his first year of collegiate fencing for Penn State. The NFHCA then honors four honorable mention fencers in each weapon and Penn State was honored five times.
On the men’s side, Tingwei Xu earned honorable mention after his 10th place finish in men’s epee. Arwen Borowiak was honored after a 10th place finish in men’s foil and Neil Lilov was awarded honorable mention after a ninth place finish in men’s saber.
Two members of the women’s squad were honored as well. Allegra Cristofolleto and Kateryna Chorniy both earned honorable mention after their ninth and 10th place finishes, respectively, in women’s epee.
