Yasseen finished his sophomore season with a 40-36 record in the regular season. He earned notable wins against Ohio State, Yale and New Jersey Institute of Technology at the 2026 UPenn Invitational, as well as Columbia, UPenn and University of North Carolina at the 2026 Brian Palestis Memorial Invitational.
2024-25 / FRESHMAN SEASON:
Mohammed Yasseen finished his freshman season with a 10-2 record overall for the men’s epee team. His first major collegiate victory was being crowd champion at the 2024 Nikki Franke Invitational for the men’s epee team. Yasseen earned first-team All-American at the Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals in his first postseason appearance.

PERSONAL:
Mohammed Yasseen is a junior epee fencer from Tanta, Egypt, and attended Al-Waha International School. Yasseen is an accomplished fencer who has competed internationally since 2017, as well as on cadet and junior teams, and competed in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. Yasseen chose Penn State because of its culture, and the fencing program has surrounded him with positive mentors and teammates who always push him to succeed both academically and athletically. Parent is Mahmoud Yasseen… brother is Yahya Yasseen.
