BIG TEN BATTLING
Penn State has completed seven games through its 22-game Big Ten Conference slate in the 2025 season, with the Nittany Lions battling for a pair of wins to this point with a 5-1 result against Minnesota and a 14-13 thriller against Indiana on the road last week. The Blue & White have yet to face off against a league opponent at home this season, with the team’s first four conference games against Northwestern and Minnesota coming at the Women’s College World Series host site of Devon Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and last week’s series at Indiana in Bloomington rounding out the slate. Despite the team’s 2-5 start to the league year, Penn State has rattled off a litany of offensive accomplishments, currently leading all B1G programs in hits (64) through the first two weeks of the conference calendar while ranking fourth in conference-only matchups in terms of runs scored with 44. PSU ranks sixth in B1G-only games in average (.333) and OBP (.414) while ranking seventh in conference games in terms of slugging (.562) and OPS (.976).
