Baseball Hosts Delaware For Dollar Dog Night

Nittany Lions meets Blue Hens on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State baseball team welcomes Delaware on Tuesday for Dollar Dog Night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. First pitch is set for 5:30 p.m. with a broadcast on B1G+.

 

All Penn State home games are free admission for all ages.

 

Tuesday also features a first pitch by Penn State Women’s Hockey, 2024 AHA Champions.

 

Penn State, led by head coach Mike Gambino, is 22-12 this season (11-7 Big Ten) after taking one of three in its series against USC.

 

Delaware, coached by Greg Mamula, is 18-16 overall (6-6 CAA) after winning one of three games against College of Charleston.

  • The Nittany Lions are set to host their fifth Dollar Dog Night of the 2025 season, featuring $1 hot dogs.
  • PSU fans have consumed 24,628 hot dogs over four Dollar Dog Nights this year.
  • Penn State’s first Dollar Dog Night of the season, against FDU on March 4, featured 4,049 fans and 5,960 hot dogs consumed.
  • PSU’s second Dollar Dog Night this year included 3,784 fans consuming 7,506 hot dogs on March 18 against St. Bonaventure.
  • PSU’s third Dollar Dog Night saw 2,822 fans eat 6,733 hot dogs on March 25 against Pitt.
  • Nittany Lion fans consumed 4,429 hot dogs against Bucknell on April 1.
  • Penn State’s Dollar Dog Nights became popular in 2023 and returned with strong numbers in 2024.
  • Across 13 Dollar Dog Nights in 2023, 2024 and 2025, Penn State fans have consumed 59,805 hot dogs, averaging 4,600 per Dollar Dog Night.
  • On April 16, 2024 against Kent State, The Nittany Lions set a new attendance record (5,025), topping 5,000 fans for the first time in program history. PSU fans consumed a Dollar Dog record 8,591 hot dogs.

 

DOLLAR DOG NIGHT PRE-ORDER

  • Leap the lines on Dollar Dog Night! Dollar Dog packages are now available for pre-order up until noon on the day of the game, through https://statecollegespikes.ordernext.com/
  • Fans can click the Dollar Dog icon at the top and select the upcoming Dollar Dog Night game from the “select your event” drop-down menu to pre-purchase their Dollar Dog 4-Pack or Dollar Dog 9-Inning Challenge Pack. All packages can be picked up at the right field concessions stand counter on Dollar Dog Night.
  • All Dollar Dog package purchases made are final unless the game is canceled or postponed, in which case refunds will be issued for packages not already picked up. No refunds will be issued for packages including beer that are unable to be picked up due to failure to produce proper identification.

 

PARKING

  • Fan parking is available in Porter North and Jordan East lots.
  • Prepaid parking is available until midnight the day before the game for $5.50 at psu.parkmobile.io
  • Day of game parking is available through Honk for $10, please see the in-lot signage for the QR code and text-to-pay options.

 

SUITE TICKETS

  • Fans can enjoy the action from climate-controlled Luxury Suites at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
  • These 20-person suites offer a fantastic view of Mount Nittany while providing a luxurious experience for fans and their guests.

  • On Friday, Ryan DeSanto fired seven innings and allowed one run, while striking out seven. He retired 14-straight between the third and seventh innings.
  • DeSanto has allowed one or less run in three of his six starts against Big Ten opponents.
