Penn State Football Announces Three Additions to the Program

Nittany Lions welcome transfers Campbell and Peña, and 2025 signing class addition Jennings

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State football has announced the additions of linebacker Amare Campbell, wide receiver Trebor Peña and defensive end Daniel Jennings to the program. Campbell (North Carolina) and Peña (Syracuse) join the program as transfers, while Jennings joins as a member of the 2025 signing class.

The Nittany Lions have welcomed 28 student-athletes, who signed National Letters of Intent to join the football program. Penn State signed 25 recruits that were rated four stars or higher by 247Sports, On3, ESPN or Rivals.

The Class of 2025 features 14 offensive and 14 defensive players. Penn State’s class features players from 11different states. The Nittany Lions signed 21 prospects from Pennsylvania or bordering states.

2024: at Minnesota (8/29): Recorded a sack, four tackles (2 solo) and forced the first fumble of his career. Charlotte (9/7): Tallied seven tackles (2 solo) and 1.5 tackles for loss. NC Central (9/14): Made six tackles (2 solo) and a tackle for loss. James Madison (9/21): Posted eight tackles and broke up a pass. at Duke (9/28): Had a sack to go along with four tackles (2 solo). Pittsburgh (10/5): Made eight tackles (6 solo) while adding a tackle for loss and pass breakup. Georgia Tech (10/12): Posted eight tackles (3 solo) and a half-tackle for loss. at Virginia (10/26): Recorded a sack and five tackles (3 solo). at Florida State (11/2): Recorded a career-high two sacks to go along with five tackles (4 solo) and two tackles for loss. Wake Forest (11/16): Made three solo stops. at Boston College (11/23): Tallied five tackles (3 solo). NC State (11/30): Made a career-high nine tackles (5 solo) to go along with 1.5 sacks. vs. UConn (12/28): Recorded four tackles (3 solo) and a quarterback hurry.

Syracuse (10/7): Picked off a pass and returned it 19 yards...Added a solo tackle.
