Men’s 4x400-meter Relay Squad Earns All-America Honors on Day Three of NCAA Championships

Men’s 4x400-meter squad earns second-team All-America honors

EUGENE, Ore. – The Men’s 4x400-meter relay squad raced its way to second-team All-American accolades on day three of the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Ore.  

NCAA EVENT PERFORMANCES 

The men’s 4x400-meter relay squad of Handal Roban, James Onwuka, Max DeAngelo and Jake Palermo finished in ninth place at 3:03.85 to earn second-team All-American honors and set the new No. 5 all-time mark in program history.  

Maddie Pitts currently sits fourth in the heptathlon, compiling 3,557 points on the first day of the event with action set to resume tomorrow. Pitts earned a second-place finish in the 200-meter race at 23.86 with a 10th–place finish in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing in 13.74. Pitts matched her personal best of 1.72m (5-7 ¾) in the high jump that was recorded during the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in May. In shot put, Pitts recorded her longest throw of 12.12m (39-9 ¼).

The final day of the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships is Saturday, June 14 in Eugene, Ore. with the first event for Penn State starting at 6:30 p.m. ET.
