Penn State Launches Student-Athlete-Driven ROAR+ Platform

The platform is a collaboration between Penn State Athletics, Playfly Max and Lockerverse

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Athletics, in collaboration with Playfly Max and Lockerverse, announces the creation of ROAR+, a groundbreaking digital subscription platform featuring exclusive content pieces and putting fans at the center of Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities for student-athletes. While ROAR+ will officially launch July 24, fans can subscribe immediately at https://www.roarplus.co/. Please note, users who sign up now will not be charged until July 24.

ROAR+ offers Penn State supporters exclusive access to behind-the-scenes content, real-time chat-based interactions and original programming while directly supporting Nittany Lion student-athletes through NIL deals. With multiple subscription tiers available, fans can choose their level of access and impact, unlocking one-of-a-kind experiences and benefits in return.

Proceeds from ROAR+ subscriptions will go directly to Penn State student-athletes in exchange for content creation, fan engagement and platform promotion. In addition to student-athlete content, subscribers will gain access to exclusive shows hosted by Nittany Lion legend and College Football Hall of Famer LaVar Arrington and longtime Penn State announcer Brian Tripp, which offer an inside look at the personalities that define Penn State pride.

Playfly Max will lead the strategy, content coordination, and monetization efforts, ensuring maximum benefit for both student-athletes and fans. This initiative represents a new model for fan-driven NIL support, giving Penn State supporters a direct role in empowering student-athletes through digital engagement and exclusive content.
