UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women’s soccer program and head coach Erica Dambach announced the program’s promotional schedule and themes for all 10 Nittany Lion home matches on Wednesday afternoon, as well as match times for nine contests at Jeffrey Field.

Following the program’s season-opening road trip to take on Duke on opening night, PSU returns home the following week and begins the home slate in earnest with a battle against the Saint Louis Billikens on Thursday, August 21. Kickoff against SLU is slated for 8 p.m. (ET) as the latter half of a doubleheader with the Nittany Lion men’s soccer team, which will kick off its 2025 regular season at 5 p.m. (ET) that evening against Stetson from Jeffrey Field. The Nittany Lion women’s soccer team continues its home-opening four-match homestand on Sunday, August 24, with a 3 p.m. (ET) kickoff against West Virginia on deck. The battle against WVU will serve as Penn State’s annual March to the Match in collaboration with Penn State Welcome Week, with students able to pick up free March to the Match t-shirts while supplies last.

The Blue & White remain in the friendly confines of Jeffrey Field the following week, as the Nittany Lions host the Santa Clara Broncos on Thursday, August 28, at 7:30 p.m. (ET). The battle with Santa Clara will serve as the team’s Military Appreciation match, with special recognitions honoring Armed Forces personnel and veterans scheduled. Later that weekend, the Nittany Lions will host their annual Senior Day Ceremony presented by the Penn State Alumni Association against James Madison, with a 6 p.m. (ET) kickoff scheduled against the Dukes. PSU will honor its graduating senior class in a ceremony featuring senior student-athletes, managers and their families.

Following a weeklong road trip to close out non-conference action, Penn State returns to University Park and will open Big Ten Conference competition on Thursday, September 11, with a 6 p.m. (ET) kick scheduled against the Maryland Terrapins. The match will serve as PSU’s Heroes Appreciation, honoring all community heroes, armed forces, first responders and more. On the following Sunday, September 18, Penn State will battle the Nebraska Cornhuskers in another 6 p.m. (ET) start time that will also serve as the program’s annual Pride Match in conjunction with the Penn State Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity. The following Sunday, September 21, PSU will face the Wisconsin Badgers and celebrate Alumni Day recognizing student-athletes from all 32 seasons of Penn State women’s soccer history. Additionally, the contest against Wisconsin will serve as the team’s THON match, recognizing the world’s largest student-run philanthropy dedicated to raising funds to battle childhood cancer. Kick time against Wisconsin remains to be determined and will be released when available.

Penn State welcomes Pacific Northwest rivals Washington and Oregon to Jeffrey Field for the first time as B1G competitors, with the Nittany Lions set to face off against the Huskies on Thursday, October 9, in a 7 p.m. (ET) contest which will serve as the team’s Pink Match, recognizing individuals and families confronted by breast cancer. On Sunday, October 12, PSU will challenge the Ducks in a 1 p.m. (ET) affair that will serve as the team’s Down Syndrome Awareness match. Fans will be encouraged to participate in the Rock Your Socks campaign, and interact with local organizations such as Strawberry Fields, Good Day Café and the Centre Region Down Syndrome Society during the match against Oregon. Fans will be encouraged to wear white and help continue to make Jeffrey Field the most intimidating environment in college soccer.

The Nittany Lions will observe a pair of season-long promotions throughout the 2025 campaign, honoring the program’s storied past while celebrating the team’s commitment to its fanbase this season and beyond. Throughout the 2025 Penn State women’s soccer season, PSU will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the program’s first national championship in 2015, with the Blue & White slated to don a special 10th anniversary logo on warmup shirts and other merchandise to celebrate. Additionally, for all Sunday matches from Jeffrey Field in 2025, Penn State women’s soccer fans of all ages are invited to stick around after the contest to participate in Signature Sunday. Select student-athletes will be made available to fans for a meet-and-greet opportunity and autograph session following matchups against West Virginia, James Madison, Wisconsin, Oregon and Ohio State.

Last season, the Nittany Lions advanced to the National Quarterfinals for the second year in a row, extended the nation’s longest streak of consecutive Sweet 16 appearances to eight-straight, secured the program’s 30th consecutive NCAA Tournament bid and booked the program’s 31st consecutive season with at least 10 victories, the second-longest stretch of that nature in women’s college soccer. The Blue & White return six starters from last year’s Elite Eight run, including goalkeeper Mackenzie Gress, defenders Kayleigh Herr and Bella Ayscue, midfielder Molly Martin, and forwards Kaitlyn MacBean and Amelia White. MacBean, a native of Excelsior, Minnesota, is PSU’s lone returning United Soccer Coaches All-American, coming off the most prolific scoring season by a Nittany Lion in over a decade following a 34-point season comprised of 16 goals and two assists. Penn State additionally boasts the nation’s fifth-ranked recruiting class and strongest signing group in the Big Ten Conference per TopDrawerSoccer’s July release. PSU will open its 2025 season in two weeks’ time, with a 7 p.m. (ET) kickoff scheduled against the Duke Blue Devils on Thursday, August 14, from Koskinen Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.
