Q: How would you describe the offense in the first half? You guys come out hot, get the touchdown drive, and it seemed like things were kind of in a bit of a lull there again. How would you describe that first half?
A: I think we’ve just got to execute better. We've got to get in rhythm and make the plays when they come to us, it’s really that simple. We’ve got to execute as receivers, everybody on the team has to execute and eliminate bad ball.
Q: We've seen this receiving corps so far, it seems like everybody's kind of had their moment in non-conference play. What do you think you guys have shown so far?
A: I think that we've shown at times that we can make the plays when it comes to this. I think it's just about being more consistent and being on the same page. We've had little hiccups and stuff like that, but I feel like the more comfortable we get on offense and more on time we get with quarterbacks and everybody, we'll be fine.
Q: How big was that last drive in the first half, getting the touchdown, getting that two-point conversion as well?
A: I think it was very important. You know, we talk about the middle eight a lot and just trying to maximize points at the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half. So, to be able to get points right there, it was good.

Q: James says he thinks the defense took a big step today, what’s the confidence like on that side of the ball right now?
A: We knew after the past two games that we kind of came out flat. Coach Knowles and us players knew that, and we knew it wasn’t up to the standard. So, we talked about it before the game. We couldn’t come out flat this game. I know we had to prove a point, obviously, everybody is talking about us and whatever we focus on. We know that. We weren’t at our standard that we wanted each game. I think once you’re at that standard to start, it just lives on. The energy will keep going.
Q: Compared to three games last year, now three in this year how do you feel?
A: Good, I feel completely healthy. I mean obviously, there’s bruises but at the end of the day, I feel very healthy. I think all of us, they take care of us, and the rotation we have is good. So, I think it’s going to be good for the long run.
Q: Tony, there’s amazing chemistry with you and Amare (Campbell) out there. It’s been a long time since Penn State had that sort of dynamic with their linebackers like that. Describe that chemistry and how that’s developed over time since he came to campus from North Carolina.
A: Yeah, I think it starts from just being friends back home. You’re able to talk to each other and speak to the truth on whatever it is. I think that helps a lot, whatever it is in practice that we mess up, we’ll be honest with each other. We don’t take it to heart, and I think that just helps us a lot.
