UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State continues its 2026 outdoor track & field season when it competes in two meets during a split-squad weekend.
The blue and white will compete in the Raleigh Relays for the fifth straight season, having competed every year in that event since 2022. That competition begins Thursday, March 26 and runs through Saturday, March 28.
In addition, the Nittany Lions will venture to Orlando, Florida and compete in the Knights Invite for the first time since 2022. The event, hosted by the University of Central Florida (UCF), begins Friday, March 27 and concludes the following day.
NITTANY LIONS LAST WEEK
Penn State began its outdoor season in Philadelphia when it competed in the Penn Challenge March 21 and several Nittany Lions delivered impressive performances.
The hammer teams brought home four top-five finishes, two each in the men’s and women’s competitions. Collin Burkhart came in second place for the men’s division at 217-1.00 (66.17m), a personal record and the fifth-best time in program history. Sam Engrebretson took third, recording a 189-6.00 (57.77m). In the women’s hammer, Alex Pancoast (third) and Gabi Deglau (fifth) both placed in the top five.
Three Nittany Lions also won their respective events. Gwen Cudmore took the women’s high jump, posting a 5-7.25 (1.71m). Audrey Friedman prevailed with a 141-7.00 (43.15m) in the women’s javelin, while Joe White claimed the men’s long jump at 22-10.75 (6.98m).
