Through just his third year, Cory Wine dismantled the Penn State record for putouts. He already has 1,445 - nearly 300 more than the previous record holder. Wine[apos]s record is a testament to his gritty work ethic and durability at first base. Wine, who had a .431 slugging percentage six homeruns in 2008, brings well-needed power and a dependable glove to the Nittany Lion lineup. Cory has a chance to move up the career leaderboards in several offensive categories in 2009. The Stillwater, Okla. native put together hitting streaks of eight and nine games last season.
