AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2017-18: Hassan saw a ton of action in his second season at Penn State. He finished with a 43-23 record, which consisted of six 3-0 performances, and allowed him to fence in the Mid-Atlantic/Southern Regionals, where he placed 16th.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2016-17: Hassan saw plenty of action his first season as a Nittany Lion, ending the season with a 43-31 record. He had a total of three shutout performances and went on to compete in Mid-Atlantic/Southern Regionals where he finished 21st.
HIGH SCHOOL/ PERSONAL: Mohamed Hassan comes to Penn State from St. Louis, Missouri. Hassan’s father was his previous head fencing coach. Hassan previously fenced for The Fencers Academy. He was a two-time Egyptian World Team Member. He plans to major in economics with a business minor. His goal for the season is to go to the NCAA Championships.
